  1. Pump-integrated POS

Direct integration with Gilbarco, Wayne, Bennett and other leading dispensers, with fleet cards and fuel and merchandise on one ticket.

  2. EMV at the pump

Older pumps can be retrofitted for chip and contactless with the EMV EZ Pump option instead of replacing them.

  3. Lottery under control

LottoShield tracks instant tickets, online lotto and payouts, so lottery stops being the gap in the count.

  4. Tobacco scan data

Earn monthly buydowns and rewards from tobacco manufacturers based on your sales volume.

  5. License ID scanning

A dedicated scanner reads the license for tobacco and beer, so age checks don't depend on the clerk's math.

  6. Cameras and theft alerts

Tie transactions to your DVR footage and get phone alerts on suspicious voids and no-sales.

From the morning coffee rush to the last fill-up at midnight, one counter runs it all.

“Setup took one afternoon. Dipendra loaded our items, tested every payment and stayed until the cashiers were comfortable. When the printer jammed on a busy Saturday, one call got it sorted.”

Questions

Gas stations: common questions

Will NRS Petro work with my pumps?

NRS Petro integrates with Gilbarco, Wayne, Bennett and other major dispensers. NRS offers a free site survey to identify your equipment and recommend either the full Petro solution or an EMV retrofit.

My pumps aren't EMV compliant. Do I have to replace them?

Not necessarily. The EMV EZ Pump retrofit upgrades supported Gilbarco and Wayne models to chip and contactless while you keep your existing pumps.

Can I keep running during the switch?

Installation is scheduled around your slow hours, and your items are loaded before go-live.

What is the best POS system for a gas station?

One that connects to your pumps, not just the register. NRS Petro runs on the Cheetah POS and integrates directly with Gilbarco, Wayne, Bennett and other major dispensers, so fuel, inside sales, lottery and tobacco scan data close out in one shift report, with fleet cards and dual pricing supported. NRS starts with a free site survey so the recommendation matches your equipment.

How much does a gas station POS system cost?

NRS Petro is quoted per site after the free survey, because it depends on your dispensers and whether you need the full platform or only an EMV retrofit. For the store side, the Cheetah POS (required for Petro) lists at $1,799, and software plans start at $19.95/mo with NRS PAY (NRS list prices, October 2026). Dipendra puts every cost in writing before you sign.

Can the POS track lottery sales and payouts?

Yes. NRS LottoShield tracks instant tickets, online lotto sales and payouts at the register, so lottery reconciles with the rest of the shift instead of being counted on paper.

Does NRS Petro accept fleet cards?

Yes. NRS Petro supports fleet cards, and fuel and merchandise can be rung up on one ticket.
